These classes provide the pieces which comprise the cell-centered patch data operation functionality. Recall that two types of operation classes are available, those that treat data on a single patch and those that perform operations on a set of hierarchy levels. Also recall that some operations are shared by all numerical types (int, double, float, and dcomplex), while others are implemented in a manner specific to the type. Thus, the interface to operations for each data type is unique.
