Types of Helicity

Just as there are different types of reconnection, there are also different types of Helicity. The differences arise from the third component of the magnetic field. (See Picture Below)

1. Null-Helicity - no third component
2. Co-Helicity - third component has the same sign
3. Counter-Helicity - third component has opposite sign
