Atari Hardware Requirements.
- Generally, you need an Atari ST, STE, Falcon, or TT -- probably
with 4M of ram. You can get by with less
ram in some cases, depending on the documents you wish to process
and which output device you use. The Atari SLM laser printer
device will certainly require 4M of ram.
- You will need about 1M of free disk space to hold the executable
and the minimum number of support files. The Ghostscript
fonts require another 3M of disk space.
- The Atari screen driver supports 1-24 bit color monitors
(24-bit color is experimental) of
any resolution. This means that it should work properly
in standard ST, STE, Falcon, and TT resolutions, as well
as with extended video modes offered by third party vendors.
Note that Ghostscript is processor intensive. The faster your machine
the better.
